Juan Raphael Caldera, PhD

JR Caldera received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry at CSU Long Beach.  He trained as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he then worked in Microbiology in the Department of Pathology.  As a PhD candidate in the Liu Laboratory, he is investigating the mechanism governing the induction of protective immunity against S. aureus antigens.
