UCSD Health - Hillcrest​


UC San Diego Medical Center (UCSDMC) in Hillcrest, established in 1966, currently serves as the principal clinical teaching site for UC San Diego School of Medicine and the focal point for community service missions. It houses several specialty care centers that allow the urban campus to serve as a major tertiary and quaternary referral center for San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. These care centers include the area’s only Regional Burn Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and one of only two Level I Trauma Centers in the county. The campus is also home to the Owen Clinic, among the nation’s top HIV care programs.

Rady Childre​n’s Hospital o​f San Diego​

Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) is the region’s pediatric medical center serving San Diego, Imperial and southern Riverside counties.​ It is the largest children’s hospital in California and the sixth largest in the country. RCHSD is the only hospital in the San Diego area dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare providing care to 88 percent of the region's children. It is also the region's only designated pediatric trauma center. 

Jacobs Medica​​l Center - La Jolla​

Jacobs Medical Center (JMC) at UC San Diego Health is an $859-million, 245-bed medical specialty center, named in recognition of a $75-million gift from the Joan and Irwin Jacobs family. The 10-story facility is expected to open in 2016. JMC will be connected on multiple floors to Jacobs Medical Center (which is itself connected to Sulpizio Cardiovascular Center) and within walking distance of Shiley Eye Institute and Moores Cancer Center​.  It will further care and innovation in key areas, including, Advanced Surgical Care, Cancer Care, and Women and Infant Care.
