Patient Care

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego cares for children with endocrine disorders and diabetes mellitus. The division participates in the in several multidisciplinary clinics including the Differences of Sex Development Clinic, Turner Syndrome Clinic, Renal Transplant Clinic, Prader-Willi Clinic, Neuro-Oncology Clinic, and the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. The division has also established the Center for Gender Affirming Care for transgender children and adolescents. 

Outpatient endocrinology clinics are located at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) and in satellite offices in Oceanside, Encinitas, Escondido and Murrieta.Over the past year, there were more than 16,000 endocrine/diabetes outpatient visits, and over 1,800 children with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus were routinely seen by the diabetes service. The Diabetes Center at RCHSD received the American Diabetes Association Recognition Award for meeting the standards of education in diabetes self-management.

Inpatient care is located at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego.
