The Section of Physiology is part of the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, in the University of California, San Diego Department of Medicine, School of Medicine.
Its chief teaching function is respiratory physiology for first year medical and second year pharmacy students. The Section also makes a major contribution to graduate teaching through the Biomedical Sciences and Bioengineering graduate programs. In addition, the Section has a substantial research program with excellent opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral trainees.
