Sarah Villaroel, DO (Physician Affiliate)

Dr. Sarah Villarroel is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and the Department head of Social Work at Naval Medical Center San Diego.  She is currently one of two active duty Navy child abuse pediatricians serving the Department of Defense (DoD), providing expert consultation and testimony to military installations world-wide.  She also frequently provides attending coverage for the pediatric inpatient ward at Naval Medical Center San Diego.  She is board certified in both general pediatrics and child abuse Pediatrics, working as a child abuse pediatrician both as an active duty physician and at the Chadwick Center.

She is active in teaching medical students and residents and coordinates the Family Violence Rotation for trainees at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
