Our division is comprised of three main sections: Academic General Pediatrics, Newborn Medicine, Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and the UC Milk Bank. Faculty in the Section of Academic General Pediatrics specialize in preventative health, management of sick and well infants, children and adolescents, diagnosis of acute and chronic medical issues. Faculty in the Section of Newborn Medicine staff the Newborn Nursery at UCSD Jacobs Medical Center and provide comprehensive peri- and post-natal care to newborns. Faculty in the Section of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics are sub-specialty trained and evaluate, treat, and coordinate care for children and adolescents with developmental delays, behavioral issues, learning disorders and/or mental health concerns.
