Dr. Sandip Patel focuses on early phase clinical trials of cancer immunotherapy across tumor types, with a focus on clinical and translational research. He collaborates with numerous labs at UCSD with a focus on immunotherapy biomarker development.​ 

He has done a clinical trial on Nivolumab and Ipilimumab in Treating Patients With Rare Tumors.
